Surveys are headed your way soon! We will be sending BackerKit survey invites in batches over the 48 hours. You might have gotten yours already, or you might get it in a day or two - we’ll send another update once every single survey has been sent. At that point if you can’t find yours, please shoot us a private message via Kickstarter and we’ll send you a link with your personal invitation. We’ve gotten a couple reports of invites caught in spam recently, so please check there also if you don’t see your invite by the evening of Wednesday December 7 (whichever time zone you’re in!).
The invite email will look just like this:
We’re scheduled to start shipping by early next week. We’ll keep you updated, but so far nothing is standing in the way of that plan. There’s a lot for us to package up, though, so we’ll be doing fulfillment in batches all week long. Once your reward package ships, you’ll receive an email notification with a link to track the package - we’ll let you know when the time is right to start looking out for that as well.
We’ve got seven colors to choose from for the Ladle and Spoonula, and over a dozen options for other products in the full GIR catalog. If you’d like an extra visual reference for which colors are available for add-ons or the products in reward tiers $48 and above, you can head over to GIR.co to see actual pictures of other GIR products in the same bright palette. With nearly 300 SKUs to choose from, we unfortunately couldn’t get every single image uploaded into BackerKit to be presented alongside your surveys. But hopefully there’s enough for comparison at GIR.co to act as a good stand-in. (Fun fact: we typed each of those 300 SKUs multiple times just to set up the surveys and add-ons - thank you to Brian for that!)
We are almost completely sold out of Ladles for December delivery! We've made sure that we have enough to fulfill the relevant Kickstarter pledge tiers, and we are limiting all outside pre-orders so that all of you backers have first dibs. If the color of your Ladle is important to you, please fill out your survey ASAP so that you can lock down your first choice. We will be monitoring stock/colors on an hourly basis, but we can't guarantee your first color choice if you wait too long before submitting your survey responses.
If you don’t need your Ladle for the holidays and you don’t mind waiting, there are lots of folks who have been messaging us to ask if we have extras. Totally up to each of you, but we’ve included a survey question to allow you to hold off on the shipment if you don’t need it urgently. If you go for that option, we’ll offer up your December shipping slot to someone in need of extra holiday cheer. Your package will ship as soon as we get a Ladle replenishment order in - at the latest, March 2017. Again, this is completely optional and we are 100% committed to honoring the holiday delivery we promised to each person who backed at a December 2016 reward tier. We just couldn’t ignore so many requests without letting you all know what’s up!

It's late here in NY, but we couldn't shut down for the night without a thank-you note.
We've been around on Kickstarter for quite a while now (you might call this "home" for us), but this campaign has been the most surprising and delightful of all so far. We set personal records across the board: 159k in funding, 3,410 backers, and a near-sellout of every single unit we'd produced in anticipation of the holidays. Just... wow.
We have been building BackerKit surveys all week in anticipation of the campaign's end, and we should be able to send them out to you in a day or two (we'll send another update when we do). We are checking in inventory at the warehouse tomorrow, and will be running QA audits through the weekend to make sure that everything is in mint condition before it starts getting bundled into your reward packages.
Expect to hear from us a lot over the next few days - getting surveys turned around and packages out the door within just a few days is a logistical extravaganza, but we are SO excited to do it.

You guessed it - in order to deliver all of your rewards next month, we have to work a bit of production and shipping magic. We’ve compressed a typical 75-day production and shipping cycle down to about 20 days. No small feat, but it was worth it to get everything started as soon as we hit the the campaign goal.
